Krka NP – Nature and Culture of the Mediterranean
Explore the spectacular green beauty of Krka National Park! Next up, we are taking you to one of the small Mediterranean cities en route to Split. Just a couple of kilometers from Krka NP you will find Šibenik. If you like history and architecture, then this has to be your choice. A thousand year old city is flanked by four fortresses which protected its inhabitants and glorious architecture during the Ottoman onslaught. Stroll the streets, climb up and down thousands of steps that adorn the city center and enter the stunning Cathedral of St James. And if you prefer the easygoing atmosphere of the Mediterranean with a possibility of a swim, then Primošten is perfect for you. This charming place preserves atmosphere and all the architectural features of a medieval Mediterranean fishing village. Its beautiful beaches attract numerous travelers wanting to cool off on a hot summer day.
After a city break we will continue driving to Split on probably the most beautiful stretch of the road in all of Croatia, running along the shore. Along the way you will get the idea of the way of life in Dalmatia, its beauty and its ruggedness.
