First stop is Sinj, where you will discover Alka, an annual knightly tournament celebrating the strength and courage of brave men and women who defended their city from Ottoman onslaught in the 18th century. The specialized museum holds countless treasures from original weapons to modern trophies. Stroll around the city to find the nearby fort overlooking the center or step inside the church which hold the miraculous painting of Our Lady of Sinj, one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Croatia.

Next up you will visit Klis. Overlooking the city, Klis fortress gives you an incredible view of the entire Split area, Adriatic Sea and surrounding islands. For 2000 years it has kept its status as „the key to Dalmatia“, connecting the coastline to the hinterland. Once the seat of medieval Croatian kings, lately it has become famous for dragons, being one of the filming locations of the Game of Thrones series. This stronghold played a vital part in the defense of Croatian lands in the Middle Ages from foreign invaders.
