Did you know?
Popular across the USA, Zinfandel can trace its origins to the vineyards of Kaštela and the local grape sort called Crljenak Kaštelanski. First mentioned in the 15th century, Crljenak was once the most abundant red grape variety in Dalmatia. Brought through the trade routes to the US in the 19th century, Zinfandel quickly became an American staple, and is now making a strong comeback in its ancestral home!
